Warm up: Play the ‘Position and Direction game ’ using this PowerPoint. This will help your child to recall their knowledge of left and right whilst getting them up and moving!
Main Task: Give your child a blank piece of paper and read aloud these instructions…
- Draw a square in the middle.
- Draw a tree on the right-hand side of the square.
- Draw a car on the left-hand side of the square.
- Draw a triangle on top of the square.
- Draw a sunshine in the top left-hand corner of your picture.
- Draw a rainbow in the top left-right corner of your picture.
- Finally draw windows and doors inside your square – what have you drawn?
