Happy Wednesday Year 5,

We have seen some fantastic work so far this week and we cannot wait to see what you do next! We particularly enjoyed seeing that some of you decided to take up the challenge to create a new front cover for the book. Keep up the great work, well done.

Another activity (optional):

We would love you to create your own dragon today. You could draw/paint a dragon, or you could create a 3D dragon out of some of your recycling at home. You might want to tell us a little about what your dragon can do as well.

Here is a link to an OLD competition that Cressida Cowell, the author and illustrator of How to train your dragon, set up last year. The clip shows you some of the dragons she has created as well as her drawing two dragons. We thought it might give you a few ideas.

We cannot wait to see what you come up with!

Don’t forget it is World Book Day tomorrow, it would be fantastic if you could dress up as one of your favourite book characters (this is optional). We would love to see your costumes so please feel free to send us a photograph.
